Commuters: Use Evernote to lighten your pack.
With Evernote it doesnt matter what computer you use, all your documents and notes are always in sync waiting for you. That way you can leave your work computer at the office and work from home using your personal computer.

How to: Scan to Evernote (on a Mac)
- Start ‘Image Capture’ - it is a free application that comes with OS X (/Applications/Image Capture)
- If your scanner is supported (and turned on) you will see a window similar to the one in the screenshot below
- Select the area you want to scan by dragging a rectangle around the preview of the scan
- Set the quality of the scan to either B/W or Color Photo (depending on what you are scanning)
- Give your scan a title
- Choose PNG, JPEG as the format. If you would rather scan to PDF, keep in mind that images in PDFs will not be recognized by our image recognition
- Select ‘Evernote’ as the Automatic Task - this is the key step in this process
- And click ‘Scan’ - that’s all

Let Evernote make filing expense reports and tax time less stressful
Take pictures of your receipts or scan them into Evernote. Tag them or create individual notebooks to make filing your expense reports or doing your taxes easier.

Big review coming up?
Use Evernote to capture all your accomplishments including screenshots or web clips of any work you’re particularly proud of as well as emails from happy clients. Have a folder in Evernote or just use the tag “accomplishments”, that way you can show off come review time.
